Young BMC team cyclist !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! was attacked by robbers apparently trying to steal his bike while he was on a training ride in his home town of Tuquerres, Colombia, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Atapuma, a 26-year-old climbing specialist, is best known as the winner of stage 6 of the 2014 Tour de Pologne. He joined BMC in 2014, becoming one of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (insert your own cocaine joke here).

Atapuma has a cast on one arm to protect the healing knife wounds, but apparently will head to Europe for training later this month.

There's no word on whether BMC will replace its skinsuits with chainmail during the training period.
